The EarthX ETX900-TSO is a lightweight 12V (13.2-volt nominal) lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) aircraft battery designed for certified general aviation aircraft. Weighing just 5.4 lb, the ETX900-TSO delivers strong starting performance while offering substantial weight savings compared with traditional lead-acid aircraft batteries.
The ETX900-TSO incorporates EarthX’s integrated Battery Management System (BMS), which provides protection against over-discharge, over-charge, short circuit, and temperature conditions while also balancing the individual cells. The battery also includes redundant electronic protection circuits, a battery fault/status output, and an integrated thermal runaway containment and venting system specifically designed for aircraft installations.
Certified to FAA TSO-C179b, the ETX900-TSO meets applicable DO-311A and DO-160 lithium aircraft battery testing requirements. It is designed for either engine-compartment or cabin installation and may be used with aircraft charging systems having an alternator output of 80 amps or less, subject to the applicable installation approval and aircraft limitations.
For installation in a certified aircraft, TSO approval alone is not installation approval. An applicable STC or other approved installation basis is required. EarthX offers aircraft-specific STC installation kits, which are normally required for the initial conversion to the ETX900-TSO; subsequent battery replacements generally require only the battery itself when the approved installation is already present.

For aircraft with accessible exterior piano-style hinges, we apply a thin coat of Tri-Flow or LPS-2 (Owner’s choice).
We lubricate landing gear oleo struts with StrutWipe, a product designed specifically to both clean and lightly lubricate the exposed chrome surface, removing dirt, bugs, and moisture which could damage seals or cause pitting and corrosion over time. StrutWipes are presoaked in MIL-PRF-5606.

Where space and safety margins allow, your aircraft may be repositioned slightly fore or aft to relieve tire pressure points. This helps reduce tire flat spots and unnecessary vibrations during taxi or takeoff on your next flight. Wheel chocks are reset to secure the new position prior to moving, and if safe repositioning isn’t assured, your aircraft remains in place.
